Post-quantum hardware acceleration

Dedicated hardware accelerators for Post-Quantum Cryptography.

Today, DATAKMON channels this unparalleled synergy of engineering management and mathematical execution into developing dedicated hardware accelerators for Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC).

FPGA / ASIC vendor agnostic

IP licensing or source-available models, sized to the use case.

DATAKMON brings 3 major benefits:

Fast delivery

Fast delivery, once the solution is standardized

High flexibility

High flexibility, with configurable KPIs, depending on the use case

Vendor agnostic

FPGA/ ASIC vendor agnostic

What we do

Hardware accelerators for NIST PQC, without locking you to a vendor.

We provide FPGA/ ASIC vendor agnostic hardware accelerators models for the PQC algorithms, using IP licensing or Source-availability licensing

Deployment time: using an automated development framework (test vectors from NIST – Matlab models – Vivado suite) we minimize the time between standard release and market availability

Scalability: we offer various implementation architectures for the same algorithm, depending on the use case

High throughput

Intensive data transfer

Moderate Resources and High Throughput for intensive data transfer scenario

FPGA / ASICIP or source-available
Constrained devices

IoT

Reduced Resources and Moderate Throughput for IoT scenario

FPGA / ASICConfigurable KPIs
Balanced core

Classic deployments

Balanced solution between the previous two for classic scenario

FPGA / ASICUse-case sized

Audit and discovery

Scanning the current infrastructure to identify cryptography that will not survive a cryptographically relevant quantum computer.

PQC migration

Moving from classical algorithms (RSA, ECC) to the post-quantum standards approved by NIST — in hardware, on the schedule the use case allows.

How we do it

Our hardware approach

While software implementation has benefits such as lower cost and flexibility, the hardware implementation brings in advantages like energy efficient and stronger security.

Step by step

01

Inventory

Inventory of cryptographic assets — every protocol, certificate and firmware-signing path that still depends on RSA or ECC.

02

Risk analysis

Which data is exposed to the first quantum attack: secrecy lifetime versus the day the traffic can be captured and stored.

03

Implement

Implement the new hybrid or purely post-quantum algorithms, using the accelerator architecture that matches the use case.

04

Deliver

An in-house automated path from NIST test vectors through Matlab models to the Vivado suite, so the gap between standard release and market availability stays short.

It enforces the classic advantages

for security we will have Side-channel-certified cores (AVA-VAN.5*) and patented solutions

for energy we propose various implementation architectures, depending on the use case

It reduces the disadvantages

shorter delivery time, from the moment a solution was standardized, by using the in-house designed automated development framework

improve flexibility by providing easy-to-use interconnecting interface

Standards

The PQC algorithms NIST has released.

All our solutions are provided by NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) who started to release, sequentially, the PQC algorithms in august 2024.

*AVA_VAN.5 is a component of the international cybersecurity standard Common Criteria (ISO/IEC 15408) which represents the maximum level of methodical vulnerability analysis (Advanced Methodical Vulnerability Analysis)

Who we are

Who we are

DATAKMON was born at the intersection of elite hardware engineering, academic excellence, and corporate deep-tech leadership. Founded by a powerhouse duo with nearly 50 years of combined industry experience, our start-up delivers an uncompromised approach to future-proof digital security: post-quantum immunity built directly into silicon.

A Foundation of Deep-Tech Mastery & Innovation

Our technical and strategic DNA bridges profound hands-on engineering, academic research, and executive-level delivery:

Hardware Architecture & Academic Authority

Both co-founders have old roots in the academic environment, contributing to hardware description languages, FPGA implementation methodology, digital signal processing and advanced embedded systems — from Politehnica University of Bucharest to silicon that has to ship.

Enterprise Leadership & Proven Inventorship

Andrei led Wireless and Machine Learning software organizations as Director of Software Engineering at NXP Semiconductors Romania and holds a Notable Inventor Certificate. Cristian moved from hands-on VHDL and C/C++ into systems architecture and executive leadership, with a dual view of delivery risk and market timing.

Mission

Protecting the digital future of the global economy.

Dr. Cristian ANGHEL

Dr. Cristian ANGHEL

Co-founder, CEO

With a career spanning almost 25 years in the technology ecosystem, Cristian operates seamlessly at the intersection of cutting-edge engineering and business strategy. Having evolved from hands-on hardware and software development (VHDL, C/C++) to systems architecture and executive leadership, Cristian holds a rare dual perspective: a profound understanding of immediate delivery challenges combined with a long-term vision of market evolution.

In parallel with his industry achievements, Cristian maintains a distinguished academic career as the lead lecturer for Hardware Description Language and Methodology for FPGA Implementation. An accomplished author of several books and articles in prestigious international journals, his research has focused heavily on digital signal processing for complex algorithms, including advanced radio channel decoding for modern wireless systems.

Through DATAKMON, Cristian leverages this lifetime of academic insight and industrial expertise to solve the defining security challenge of the decade: migrating data cryptography solutions safely into the post-quantum era.

Madalin Serbanescu

Madalin Serbanescu

CSO

Over nearly 25 years in tech, Madalin has learned to work comfortably where engineering meets business. He's built sales teams at scale in large organizations, closed enterprise deals with major players across CEE, and navigated the complexity of procurement and stakeholder management.

He's also worked with early-stage ventures in competitive markets, made decisions with limited resources, and kept operations alive when margins were thin.

Madalin brings the rare combination of having built revenue engines that work in large organizations and quickly developed ventures that survive tight resource constraints.
